A Celebration of Scholarship and Impact
On April 17, Eastern Connecticut State University will host the 2026 Faculty Research & Creative Activity Symposium—an afternoon dedicated to showcasing the scholarship, creativity, and community engagement of our faculty. The event invites the campus community to explore how faculty advance knowledge, enrich teaching, and make a meaningful difference both locally and globally.

The symposium features two sessions that reflects the best of who we are and what we do. The first two hours include a series of lightning talks—each four minutes or less—offering compelling glimpses into faculty work across disciplines. The final hour culminates in a panel discussion about what it means to build sustainable societies in a world shaped by climate change, inequality and geopolitical instability.
