We Couldn't Do It Without You…

Dear Alumni & Friends:
The Development and Alumni Engagement Office would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing and generous support during Fiscal Year 2025. Your contributions over the past year have been instrumental in allowing Eastern Connecticut State University to enhance access for students from all socio-economic backgrounds while maintaining a high-quality educational experience.

The vision and generosity of our supporters—alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and organizations—have provided critical resources that greatly benefit our students and faculty. Together, we have empowered our students to fully embrace a liberal arts education enriched with applied, hands-on learning experiences.

We want to emphasize that every gift to Eastern is invaluable and deeply appreciated, playing a vital role in achieving our mission and vision. We could not have accomplished this without your support!
Thank you once again for your commitment to our university and its faculty, staff, and students.

Donor Testimonials

Walner Homere holding up a t shirt

As an immigrant in the United States, my mother worked as a housekeeper while I prepared to enter the university’s alternative admissions program known as STEP/CAP (Summer Transition at Eastern Program/Contract Admissions Program). I had dreams—ambitious dreams—but I lacked the financial means to turn them into reality. The scholarships I received were truly life-altering. Your generosity forever changed my life and, more importantly, created ripple effects that I hope have changed the lives of others. I am deeply grateful for your support, and to whomever you are, I owe you an eternal debt of gratitude. Walner Homere ‘95

Charlotte Braziel ’80 recently informed Eastern that she had made the University a beneficiary of an IRA in her estate plan. “I came from a lower middle-class family and my three siblings, and I were state school students,” said Charlotte. “Public universities are vital to the future of this country. I value education and I know at my demise this IRA distribution will have a ripple effect, helping students like me who come from modest backgrounds.” Charlotte Braziel ’80
