Poster Guidelines

Please be sure to work closely with your faculty mentor as you prepare for the conference.

Preparing Your Poster

  • Please work closely with your faculty mentor as you construct your poster.
  • Please plan on printing your poster as far in advance as possible, to prevent a backlog closer to the conference.
  • Posters will be displayed on mobile poster display stands in the Betty Tipton Room of the Student Center. You will use pushpins to display your poster on the display stands. A few posters will be displayed on whiteboards that will be secured with magnets that will be provided.

Plotting Your Poster (University Copy Center)

  • All posters must be plotted and printed professionally in the Copy Center. You must have your mentor email an electronic copy of your poster for printing. Poster files must be submitted to the Copy Center as a PDF file.
  • Make sure to submit your poster file for plotting early during the week of CREATE.
  • Templates and video instructions on how to plot posters are available on the Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity website

Setting Up and Presenting Your Poster

  • All posters will be displayed on stands in the Betty Tipton Room.
  • Presenters and their mentors will receive guidelines on the time for setting up their poster and the timing of the poster session.
  • Presenters are expected to be present during the hour allotted to the formal poster presentation to answer questions and explain their work.
