The mission of the Black Student Union (BSU) is to highlight black excellence at Eastern Connecticut State University by creating a community od students dedicated to promoting Black achievement through civic engagement, community service, history, and high academic performance.

A few of our e-board members had the opportunity of attending our very first Black Students Lead conference at Xavier University of Louisiana located in New Orleans, Louisiana this semester! 🤩 Thank you to our advisors and our general body for making this experience possible 🙌🏾 It was a privilege to be surrounded by other Black and POC student leaders who are striving to make a difference on their campus just as we are. We have gained so much insight on what it takes to be MLC student leaders and we can’t wait to apply our knowledge to Eastern’s campus ✊🏾

✨To open the month of October here are our upcoming events/meetings on the 3rd & 5th we have a our Fashion Show Tryouts in the Shafer Auditorium from 7-9pm and 6-8pm, on the 12th we have our General Body Meeting in the Student Center Room 219 from 6-7pm, on the 14th we’re going to NYC to visit the Apollo Theater at 8:30am, and lastly to end the month of October we will be having our annual Minority Meet & Greet in Hurley Hall from 5-6:30pm.✨

🏁 On Friday, September 15th, it's time to rev it up with our Go-Karting trip to supercharged! Hurry, space is limited, and it's first come, first serve. $16 admission for one race. Sign up now link is in our bio. The link closes on Wednesday, September 13th. There will be two vans for transportation. Van #1 leaves at 7PM and Van #2 leaves at 8:30PM. Open to BSU members only
