Request for Third-Party Comments

The Eastern Connecticut State University Department of Health Sciences and Nursing Program will be reviewed for accreditation on February 9-11, 2026, by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This will be an evaluation of its Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Nursing program.

Interested parties may submit written comments concerning Eastern’s Nursing Program qualifications for accreditation. Written third-party comments must be received by CCNE twenty-one days before the accreditation visit. All comments must be received by CCNE no later than January 19, 2026.

All third-party comments submitted to the CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English. Only author-identified (signed) comments will be accepted by CCNE. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team but does not share the comments with the program during the review process. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to accreditation standards.

The accreditation process is an opportunity to engage an in-depth evaluative process leading to the continuous quality improvement of the Eastern Nursing Program.
