Terrence Cheng, CSCU System President will speak about his novel Deep in the Mountains: An Encounter with Zhu Qizhan, 2007.

Deep in the Mountains: An Encounter with Zhu Qizhan, narrates the life of celebrated Chinese artist Zhu Qizhan, who instructs a young Chinese American boy about how to be a true artist. This is a novel about coming-of-age, growing up and accepting life's challenges.

Mr. Cheng’s talk debuts the Eastern’s 2022-2023 NEA Big Read award programs for Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu.
