Campus Parking

(Updated for Fall 2025)

Introducing the T2 Parking Platform

Eastern is launching a new digital parking system—T2—beginning in Fall 2025 to improve campus parking services and enforcement. This system replaces the need for physical permits and simplifies the registration process.

Key features of the T2 system

  • No more parking stickers or hangtags: Your license plate will serve as your digital parking permit.
  • Online registration and management: Apply for and manage your parking permit through an easy-to-use online portal.
  • Real-time enforcement: Campus police will use mobile devices to check permits using license plate recognition.
  • Automated alerts: Users will receive timely updates about permit status, violations, and upcoming expirations.
  • Data-driven improvements: T2 will help the University better understand parking patterns to make ongoing improvements.

Permit Availability

  • Parking permits will become available at the start of the Fall 2025 semester through the T2 system. No permits will be distributed prior to that time.
  • First-year students are now eligible for parking permits without needing to demonstrate a special circumstance. This update increases accessibility and flexibility for incoming students.

Parking Zones and Regulations

  • All students, faculty, and staff are required to park only in the lots designated for their permit type:
    • Faculty/Staff
    • Commuter
    • Resident
    • Visitor
  • Parking maps and lot designations are available at: easternct.edu/maps/parking-map.html

Parking Rules and Enforcement

  • Weekend parking (Friday 6:45 p.m. – Sunday 11:30 p.m.) is permitted in any lot except the Police Department lot.
  • Overnight parking (2 a.m. – 6 a.m.) is not allowed in Commuter or Faculty/Staff lots.
  • Visitor parking requires a temporary or digital permit, which can be arranged through University Police. Visitor spaces are clearly marked on the campus map.
  • Parking citations must be addressed promptly. Appeals must be submitted within 10 days of issuance using the online appeal form.

Before You Register

  • You will need:
    • A valid vehicle registration
    • Your Eastern ID or current course schedule
  • The parking office will provide detailed registration instructions once the T2 portal goes live.
  • A new 2025–2026 Parking Policy Manual will be available before the start of the semester.
