What Our Tutors Do: We are trained undergraduate peer tutors who help students one-on-one to improve writing skills in any genre or class. We can also help with writing done outside of class, such as application essays or letters. We provide feedback and guidance in a friendly, judgment-free zone, helping students to develop and refine ideas and communicate them in clear and appropriate ways.
How We Do It: We sit down with you and talk with you about your writing. We'll ask you to talk about your assignment and what you'd specifically like to work on. Then we'll help you resolve major concerns in your writing.
What to Remember: The writing conference is a collaborative effort! You should be prepared to participate. We want you to learn from the conference so that you feel more confident as a writer after you leave the session.
