Wednesday, October 2

  • 10:00 a.m. - Noon – Women’s Center, “Piece by Piece: Why We Vote”, Starsheemar Byrum and Frida Nieto Gonzalez
    • We invite women to contribute their message by sharing a piece of the personal reasons why they vote, creating a collective tapestry that highlights the impact we make together.
  • 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. – Pop-up reading of the Declaration of Independence, Utterback and Cobb
    Taking YOU back to the words and the warnings of 1776.
  • 11:00 a.m. - Noon – Intercultural Center tabling, Student Ambassadors
  • 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. – Pride Center tabling, Potestivo
  • Noon - 3:00 p.m. – Presidential History Game, Balcerski
    • Join the History Club and the History Department for an afternoon of FUN games on the lawn! We will facilitate presidential election board games, presidential trivia, and a “who said it?” game, along with White House themed prizes. Plus candy! And did someone say corn hole? Toss a bean bag, play giant sized jenga, and spin the prize wheel for a chance for a sweet treat. See you there!

    • Want to express your opinions in a fun and creative way? Join us on Webb Lawn to design your own buttons!
  • 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Library “Pop-Up” Display, Hope-Marie Cook
    • Shortbread Walker the 1st. needs a running mate, can you help? Read, get informed and suggest your favorite Vice Presidential pet running mate to accompany Shortbread Walker the 1st. Curriculum Center's Library Mascot and Presidential Candidate. Share your pet picture and a brief statement as to why your pet real or imaginary should be Shortbread's running mate to Cookh@easternct.edu. A list of names will be compiled with accompanying statement will be sent to Faculty for a vote. The individual who submits the winning entry will receive a gift basket. Good luck, you got this.
