The two-week Prague Quadrennial Program is held every four years (June 2023 will be the next) and consists of attendance at the Prague Quadrennial of Design and Space, along with tours and attendance at shows and other cultural/theatrical venues in Prague, Czech Republic. It is an intensive immersion into the world of international performance. The Prague Quadrennial has been held every four years since 1967, bringing together artists from all over the globe for lectures, hand-on-workshops, performances, and stunning exhibitions.
The Prague Quadrennial Program was developed and led by Professors Kristen Morgan and Anya Sokolovskaya, in order to place students in an environment in which "learning through practice" could become a daily reality at the highest level of expectations and experiences.
The Prague Quadrennial Program is planned to meet the needs of the BA in Theatre + Performance Media and New Media Studies. Theatre + Performance Media majors may choose this program as a capstone requirement for the Theatre major that includes research and experiential projects that lead to paper presentations and performances.
