Eastern students enjoy a broad range of on-campus experiences designed to promote academic, social, and personal development. Student Activities staff work with other offices in the Division of Student Affairs, as well as faculty and housing staff, to provide an integrated student life program.
Eastern’s police department hosted an all-night event with students on Dec. 1 to build community and foster positive relationships. The annual Open Rec Night drew crowds into the Sports Center for a fun-filled evening of raffles, board games and sports.
Upwards of 100 students gathered in front of the Student Center on Nov. 29 to raise awareness of the violence happening in Gaza and to remember the Palestinians who have died in the conflict with Israel. Organized by Eastern’s Muslim Student Association (MSA), the rally was one of several related demonstrations happening at universities across the state that same day.
Eastern Connecticut State University’s Campus Activity Board (CAB) has been recognized for its achievements in on-campus programs. The Northeast Region of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) announced Eastern as an award recipient in Excellence in Programming at a reception on Nov. 10.
