The Virginia and Charles Prewitt Peace and Human Rights Studies Endowment Scholarship

Launched in 2002 to support classes in peace and human rights studies, the Virginia and Charles Prewitt Peace and Human Rights Studies Endowment Scholarship's purpose was subsequently expanded to support a scholarship to a student committed to its ideals. When Dr. Prewitt made another major gift in 2011, a room was dedicated to commemorate the gift and support peace and human rights activities and operation of the Office of Peace and Human Rights on campus. Recipients of the scholarship are students who minor in peace and human rights or exhibits advocacy for those ideals.
