Peace Through Education Fund

The Peace Through Education Fund was established in 2005 by Barbara Zulick to honor her husband John M. Zulick following his 2004 death. A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, John Zulick attended Eastern on the GI Bill® and, after graduating in 1960, went on to receive a master’s degree from Eastern and his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. During a long career in education, Dr. Zulick taught at Eastern and later returned as acting dean of continuing education. This scholarship, awarded at a minimum of $500, is given to an Eastern student studying abroad. Preference is given to Education majors and students demonstrating unmet financial need.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by the VA is available at the official U.S. Government website at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill

Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA by March 1
