The Kevin Crosbie Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 2015 with initial five-figure gifts from the Lester & Phyllis Foster Foundation and the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation. Kevin was the longtime publisher of the Willimantic Chronicle who was a fixture in the local community. The four-year scholarships are awarded to students graduating from Windham High School or Windham Technical High School who have financial need. Community College transfers are also eligible as long as they graduated from one of the aforementioned high schools (awarded for two or three years) Preference is given to students who have indicated their intention to major or minor in music while at Eastern.
