This fund was established by Theresa Kalber '70 and her husband, Raymond in 2024. Theresa began her post-secondary journey at the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, later transitioning to Eastern’s Education program. This fund reflects not only her enduring affection for the nursing profession, but also the shared belief she and Raymond hold in the importance of expanding access to education for students at Eastern. The Kalber Health Science and Nursing fund is to support scholarship for students who encounter financial challenges as they are going through the program, and to help the department purchase high-fidelity simulation equipment.
