This fund was started by Dr. Barbara Tucker in 2018 to support the History Department in two important ways:

1. John Fox Slater Fund for Historical Research for eligible Assistant Professors for their research and covers expenses related to travel, books, microfilm and copying expenses but not for hardware such as computers or cameras. Maximum stipend of $2,500 per year for each assistant professor.
2. The Digital History Lab allows students to develop their digital skills while taking digital history courses and have lab space. Including for maintenance, upgrades and future expansion of the lab.

Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA by March 1
