Darren Dale

Biography

Dr. Dale teaches in Exercise Science and Sport Performance. He is motivated to improve the knowledge of coaches and teachers who coach across a wide range of performance levels, from youth to elite. He has two decades of teaching at the collegiate level in addition to many years coaching youth sports. Dr. Dale grew up in New Zealand. He completed his doctorate at Arizona State University and taught at Purdue University before coming to Eastern.

Of Note

In addition to being a college professor, Dr. Dale offers physiological and psychological guidance to athletes, coaches, and parents. He has assisted athletes to achieve State Open titles in track and field and swimming, and helped athletes earn athletic scholarships to play in college. He is a high school head coach in track and field and he combines this practical experience with his academic work to provide a strong, high quality educational experience for students studying exercise science and physical education at Eastern.
