Biography
Dr. Alex Citurs is an Assistant Professor of Business Information Systems at Eastern Connecticut State University. He has held information systems related jobs with Allied Group, IBM and State Farm Insurance. He has also consulted with a number of companies in the area of project management and technology adoption.

The AITP yearlong database driven website project teams that Dr. Citurs has mentored has finished in the Top 10 Teams across North American from colleges/universities of all sizes eight times in ten years. Thus, BIS students presented at the National AITP Conferences in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, with winning the National Database Driven Website Competition Championship in 2010, finishing third in 2015 and fourth in 2017 nationally, which was the last year the competition was held nationally.
