David Ballena

Biography

A native of Peru, Dr. David Ballena completed a DMA and MM in Collaborative Piano from the University of Maryland-College Park and a BM in Piano Performance from the University of Louisville. Before coming to Eastern he held positions at the University of Maryland-College Park and at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Ballena has performed at some of the nation’s most prestigious venues, including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall.

Of Note

As part of Ensamble Arte, a chamber music ensemble that performs music from the Romantic Period to the present, Dr. Ballena recently completed a three-day chamber music residency at the University of Richmond in Virginia.
