Olugbenga Ayeni

Biography

Dr. Ayeni is an engaging teacher, a scholar and expert in marketing communications. He worked as a journalist in Nigeria and the UK. His teaching philosophy is influenced by theory and application, and he regularly enters his students into competitive advertising/marketing communications campaigns to help expose them to the industry and sharpen their skills. He earned his M.A. International Law & Diplomacy from University of Lagos, Nigeria; M.A. in Journalism from University of Wales, Cardiff, U.K., and his Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi. USA.

Of Note

In June 2019 Dr. Ayeni was selected to participate in the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) & The Advertising Educational Foundation (AEF) Visiting Professor (Fellowship) program in Chicago.

Dr. Ayeni’s advertising students have won state competition awards in social marketing campaigns and in 2015 placed Top 10 Nation-wide in Effie Collegiate Advertising Campaign for TARGET retail stores.
