  • These are some of the basic requirements for admission into the M.S. in Management program:

    • Completed application for admission with a $50 non-refundable application fee. Apply Online.
      • Application Deadline: Monday, May 6, 2024
    • Bachelor’s degree from an approved/accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.7. Work experience will be part of the assessment if your GPA is below 2.7.
    • A résumé/CV addressing your professional history, educational, and career interests.
    • Official college transcript(s) for all non-Eastern colleges/universities attended.
    • Two recommendation surveys completed by individuals knowledgeable about your ability to complete graduate work.
    • Statement of professional goals.

Meet the Faculty

Dr. Sukeshini Grandhi

Professor, Business Administration Program Coordinator

Dr. Grandhi is interested in user experience (UX) and consumer behavior; specifically, she looks to gain an understanding of how people use products and services. She draws on theories from several disciplines such as communication, social psychology, cognitive science, computer science and semiotics.

Dr. Fatma Pakdil

Professor, Business Administration Program Faculty

Dr. Pakdil’s research interests span statistical process control, quality engineering, Six Sigma, lean production and management, and quality improvement in healthcare. She wrote the book Performance Leadership with Dr. Leonard by Business Expert Press and the textbook titled Six Sigma for Students: A Problem Solving Methodology published by Palgrave-Macmillan and Springer in December 2020.

Nahyun Oh

Assistant Professor, Business Administration Program Faculty

Before coming to Eastern, Dr. Oh worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a postdoctoral research associate after receiving her Ph.D. in Business Administration (Concentration: Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship) from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2018. Dr. Oh is interested in exploring the organizational design and structure of hybrid organizations. Her primary research area is social entrepreneurship, which investigates the entrepreneurial activities of social ventures and social entrepreneurs. Additional research areas include entrepreneurial finance and sustainability.

Linda Ferraro

Lecturer, Business Administration Program Faculty

Linda W. Ferraro has extensive talent, HR, and leadership development experience – internal to and consulting with – manufacturing, technology, financial, aerospace and pharmaceutical organizations. As an educator, she has a passion for encouraging students to “stretch yourself to grow” as an HR driver, community member and next-generation learner through self-reflection, curiosity and attention to equitable treatment in organizations. She is also a board leader for the Society for Human Resources (SHRM) Leadership Association of Eastern Connecticut (2020-present), serving as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) VP.

Dana Dowdell

Lecturer, Business Administration Program Faculty

Dana Dowdell has been an experienced educator and entrepreneur in the human resources field since 2011. She earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration and master’s in Human Resources and Labor Relations from the University of Rhode Island, as well as received her SHRM-CP certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. In addition to being an educator at both Eastern Connecticut State University and the University of Rhode Island, she is the owner of Boss Consulting HR, LLC and host of the Quirky HR podcast.

Dr. Villanueva Department Chair

Dr. Emiliano C. Villanueva

Chair, Department of Business Administration Program Faculty

Dr. Villanueva is an university educator with 25 years of global teaching experience in topics related to globalization, international management, and global business history. Born in Argentina, he lived in France, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and now lives in the United States. He managed two export-oriented wineries (one in Argentina and one in Spain), worked for three multi-national companies (Gallup, AC Marca, and RepSol YPF), and has traveled to 50+ countries. He brings all these international, academic and business experiences to the classroom.

  • The cost per credit hour is $714 with a per semester fee of $60. Supplemental material including textbooks must be purchased separately.

  • As an online student with Eastern, you should expect to devote 6-8 hours per week per course toward earning your degree. This includes watching your pre-recorded lectures and completing relevant coursework. Additional time may be spent participating in online discussions, meeting with faculty members during their office hours or completing elective practicum work in your local community.

  • Yes, students who qualify may be able to receive support for their Eastern graduate degree program. Potential options include student loans, military savings, veteran’s benefits and employer tuition assistance.

  • Eastern’s online programs have no application deadline. Three (3) start dates are offered each year and it is recommended that applications be submitted at least six (6) weeks in advance of a student’s preferred start date.
