Eastern offers unique business programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, and Finance in addition to an interdisciplinary major in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management. These programs of study enable students to develop a theoretical and pragmatic understanding of how businesses really operate and become more successful competitive organizations. In addition, each area of study is grounded in the liberal arts and provides comprehensive exposure to business concepts and applications in their respective areas.
Each program within the Department of Business Administration puts major emphasis on the development of teamwork and leadership skills through practical business applications. Students are encouraged to apply classroom knowledge through hands-on real world applications within the local Connecticut communities, regional business hubs, and through pursuing international work and learning opportunities.
In Connecticut, the Department of Labor projects for graduates in accounting, business administration, business information systems, economics and finance, an increase of 9.2% in job openings between 2014 and 2024.
