“Close contact” is defined by the CDC as being within six feet of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 for a cumulative period of 15 minutes over a 24-hour period.

If you were exposed to a person with a positive COVID-19 test and fit the description of a “close contact,” you should do the following:

  • Notify the University at
  • Quarantine for 7-14 days
  • After DAY SEVEN, retake a RT-PCR COVID-19 test
