Close Contact / Tested Positive

  • If you have been identified as a close contact and received an email from Christopher Ambrosio in Student Affairs:
    • You will now enter quarantine. (“Isolation” is for those who tested positive)
    • Quarantine is for 7 full days.
      • if you were near the person on the first day of the month, you leave on the 8th day of the month.
    • Day 1 of quarantine is defined as the last day you had contact with the positive case.
    • On Day 5 of quarantine you need to get retested with a PCR test.
      • you should not get an Antigen or an Antibody test.
    • On day 6 of quarantine you need to send the questionnaire to bretonjo@esternct.edu and to senechala@easternct.edu.
      • You must attach your latest PCR test results to that email.
    • On day 7 of quarantine you will receive a release letter dated after 7 full days of quarantine.
    • Day 8 of quarantine you will be able to return to campus.
  • If you have been tested for COVID-19 and your results are positive:
    • You will now enter isolation.
      • ‘quarantine” is for those who have been near a positive case
    • Isolation is for a full 10 days.
      • if your test was positive on the first of the month, you will be released on the 11th of the month.
    • Day 1 of isolation is the date that your test was done.
    • On day 9 of isolation you need to send the questionnaire to bretonjo@esternct.edu and to senechala@easternct.edu.
      • You must attach your latest PCR test results to that email.
    • On day 9 of isolation you will receive a release letter dated after your 10 full days of quarantine.
    • On day 11 of isolation you will be able to return to campus
