  • Through classes, independent studies, internships, practica, and study tours, Theatre and Performance Media majors at Eastern examine the history of performance and gain practical experience in production. In conjunction with hands-on production, those who select a Performance Media concentration will create and produce fictional and non-fictional digital media content. In addition to one-acts, original plays, and staged readings, the program produces four main stage shows each year, giving students many opportunities to develop skills and talents in all areas of theatre and dance, whether onstage, backstage, or front-of-house. Students choose from one of 5 concentrations: Acting; Directing, Dramaturgy & Cultural Performance; Dance & World Performance; Design/Technology/Management; or Performance Media. Students selecting the Performance Media concentration take a unique Core which emphasizes principles in digital media production.
