Business Administration Major: BS Degree Requirements

To graduate with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration students must complete between 63 and 66 credits in total. Requirements consist of 33 credits in common business courses, 12-15 credits in advanced business courses, 12 credits in advanced business elective courses, and 6 credits from completion of the International Perspectives Requirement**. A minimum of 24 semester hours of business courses must be completed in residence at Eastern. Transfer students with more than 30 credits should consult with the Department Chair or other department representatives as early as possible. **: Students who take nine or more unique credits of their electives in one field earn a concentration in that field. Concentrations are available in Finance, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Operations Management, and International Business. ~~: Students must fulfill the International Perspectives Requirement by completing one of the following options:

  1. Complete 4 years of the same foreign language at the high school level.
  2. Complete 2 or 3 years of a foreign language at the high school level and 1 additional year of the college 200 level or higher of the same foreign language.
  3. Complete 2 Business Elective courses from the International Business section shown on the Business Administration Advisement Worksheet (These courses will not count towards the international business concentration or the 12 credits of required business electives).
  4. Declare an international studies minor such as; Canadian Studies, Latin American Studies, Spanish or French.
  5. Complete a study abroad semester.
  6. Be an international student either being: A) in the United States on an F-1, J-1, H1-B or related Visa classification or B) another category of international student with the department chair’s permission obtained.
