Ad Hoc Budget Committee

decorative edge

The University’s Ad Hoc University Budget Committee was created in January 2009 to initially manage budget cuts that were the result of the national recession of 2008 and 2009. Since that time, the committee has created an important transparent forum for frequent, open discussions and information sharing on important budget issues. The committee’s members include representatives from across the campus, with deliberations ranging from a review of initial budget requests to the CSCU System Office to mid-year projections and technology requests. The committee also shares details budget documentation with the campus community. Through this team effort, the University has been able to find cost reductions and other savings, adjust resource allocations, achieve a balanced budget and maintain a state-mandated reserve fund.
