  • Eastern works with Achievement First Hartford and Achievement First Amistad, New Haven, CT.
  • TheDream.US started its groundbreaking scholarship program to support undocumented students in 2016. Eastern Connecticut State University has emerged as the top institution for TheDream.US, enrolling more than 200 Opportunity Scholars from “locked-out” states.

  • Higher Edge is a nonprofit organization based in New London, CT. The program promotes college access and success through one-on-one advising sessions with students. The organization helps students navigate the challenges of applying to colleges and orient themselves to daily life on campus. The Higher Edge approach is two-pronged: helping students to navigate the college application process and financial aid paperwork (Access); and supporting them academically through graduation (Success).

  • Promise Scholars are recipients of scholarships that provide Hartford and New Haven students with the financial resources, support services and key relationships that lead to college success.

  • Summer Transition at Eastern Program/Contract Admissions Program (STEP/CAP) is an alternate admissions opportunity that provides access and first-year student year support to qualified students.

The program is open to high school graduates who are either the first to attend college, are from low-income families, or are from groups traditionally under-represented on college campuses.
