David Belles

Biography

Dr. Belles joined the faculty at Eastern in August, 2002. In addition to conducting the Eastern Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers, he teaches voice, conducting and choral literature. Choirs singing under Dr. Belles’ baton have performed at notable concert venues across the country and abroad, and remains active as clinician and adjudicator.

Conductors with whom Dr. Belles has studied include Elmer Thomas, William Hatcher, and Timothy Stalter. He received his BA in Music at SUNY Oswego, MA in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and his DMA in Choral Conducting and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa.

Of Note

Dr. Belles and choirs were featured on concert tours of Josh Groban, Game of Thrones, as well as partake in annual tours offering musical and cultural enrichment in the United States and beyond.
