Dale to Marloes
Cobbler's Hole at St Ann's Head

Pembrokeshire, Wales

Hike on one of the most spectacular coastal areas in Britain. Seabirds and wildflowers are abundant as we walk on cliffs overlooking the sea. Geological features include faults, folds, and shattered rock belts. We will travel through coastal villages that are a reminder of Pembrokeshire's dependence on the sea before the arrival of the railroads. There are remnants of occupation from the neolithic age to the industrial revolution.

The trip will be from Thursday, 15 June 2006 to Sunday, 25 June 2006. The approximate total cost will be $570 excluding airfare. Click on costs/travel for details. We will hike 10-12 miles per day with a one day layover in St. Davids, the cathedral city of Pembrokeshire. We will tour the cathedral and surrounding area. Each hiker will carry a daypack with a small duffel being transported by van to overnight stops. Accommodation will be a rented house in St. Davids, Newport, or Fishguard.
