The enclosed T-shaped East Brook Mall, which opened in 1975 two miles north of  downtown Willimantic, just makes the list of Connecticut's 52 largest shopping centers and malls. [ep photo]

Connecticut shopping centers and malls with at least 250,000 square feet of gross leaseable retail area (GLA) are included in two tables. The first lists the ten largest enclosed malls, which range from 750,000 to 1,400,000 square feet.
The second table lists those 250,000 to 760,000 square feet.

Open-air
Hamden Plaza opened in 1955 near Hamden, Connecticut.  It is now a one-level open-air horse shoe-shaped community mall with 40 stores. [post card]
