Biography – Terry Lennox

Terry Lennox

Terry Lennox is tenured Associate Professor of Art in the Art & Art History Department at Eastern Connecticut State University. She is coordinator for the Digital Art and Design Concentration and teaches design and illustration. Of special interest to Professor Lennox are collaborations with the community to bring about successful real-world design experiences in an undergraduate educational setting.

Terry Lennox earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Painting from Syracuse University, a fellowship to the Yale Summer School of Music and Art, and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Yale University.

Terry Lennox has been creating art for corporate and private clients in illustration, design, portraiture, and sculpture since 1993. Selected clients include: General Motors, Scandinavian Airlines, EMCOR Group, Chubb Insurance, Hartford Hospital, Mason Inc., and Tossed Express. Lennox is an exhibiting artist and recipient of awards and grants, including the Graphic Design USA American Package Design Award to The Blue Buffalo Company for packaging featuring her illustration in 2008. Lennox’s illustrations for The Blue Buffalo Company products are featured on nationally televised advertisements. Lennox’s commissioned works are on permanent display in the Connecticut Children’s Museum and internationally in Otis Elevator, a division of United Technologies. From 2000-2004, Lennox worked as Graphic Designer and Senior Designer for Business Performance Technologies. At BP-Tech, she was responsible for the look and feel of the company’s collateral materials and e-learning courseware for corporate clients. Terry Lennox was Creative Services Lead for numerous e-learning courses for Verizon GNI. A partial client list includes: CVS Pharmacy, FDIC, Inter-American Development Bank, Motorola, MedcoHealth, Nestle, SkillSoft, and Toyota. Lennox’s portraiture is represented by Francesca Fine Art/Portraits North in Lexington, MA. She is a member of the College Art Association, Graphic Artists Guild, Portrait Society of America, Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, and the Connecticut Society of Pastel Artists. She is an elected member of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts.
