The Public Relations team implements the University’s news media strategies. It identifies, fosters and creates newsworthy opportunities for local, state and national news media to highlight the services, programs, activities and accomplishments of Eastern Connecticut State University ‘s students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Media priorities are developed in accordance with the University’s Strategic Plan, the president’s vision, and the University’s program initiatives to ensure that all communications reflect brand consistency and Eastern’s mission.
The Public Relations Officer is the first contact for news media requests, and is responsible for news media functions, including:
- writing news releases, feature articles and media advisories
- arranging news conferences
- developing news briefs
