Eastern provides a unique learning experience that is focused on our undergraduate students. Our small classes emphasize valuable skills such as critical thinking and collaboration. Our 14 residence halls, 19 Division III teams, and 90+ clubs (including the ConNOTicuts, our out-of-state student organization) ensure a vibrant campus life. We are a member of COPLAC, the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges. In comparison, the COPLAC schools in New York and New Jersey are SUNY Geneseo and Ramapo College.

The New York and New Jersey Rate applies to new and continuing Eastern students. Please contact Director of Admissions Raena Beetham at beethamr@easternct.edu with any questions about the tuition break for New York and New Jersey students.

Hear from our current students:

I knew Eastern was the perfect place for me the moment I stepped on campus for the first time. Eastern had everything I was looking for in a college and more. The dining service is outstanding, and the chef and staff really care about my dietary needs. I feel very comfortable going to the dining hall and have many options to choose from that are gluten free. I wanted to be a good distance from home so I could live on campus, but be able to go home as often as I needed to. Being able to play for Eastern’s women’s volleyball team was another important deciding factor for me. My team is like a second family which makes Eastern feel even more like home!

Anyone who knows me knows I am in love with my school, Eastern Connecticut State University. One of the first things I loved about the school was the beautiful, clean campus. I find the small class sizes to be one of the best benefits of attending Eastern. I’m able to form great relationships with my professors and they are always happy to help. There are also a number of extra help opportunities, such as the Mathematics Achievement Center (MAC) or the Writing Center. Joining clubs was another important part of my Eastern experience. The school has a club for every interest, and if they don’t, you can start a club! I was able to learn about TV production through ETV Club, I had hands on experience with the Radio Club, and was able to ski every weekend with Ski n Board Club. I cannot thank the faculty and staff enough for the opportunities and experiences I was provided from Eastern.
