SmartPower Connecticut-Silver
SmartPower is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that promotes the production and use of clean, non-polluting renewable energy as a way to improve the quality of health and life for communities. SmartPower believes in clean air, healthy communities and energy independence. Their mission is to have 20% of Connecticut's energy supply come from renewable sources by 2010. Renewable energy is a solution to global warming that has been endorsed by the New England Governor's Conference and Governor John G. Rowland.

Clean Air-Cool Planet-Bronze
Clean Air-Cool Planet (CA-CP) is a nonprofit organization that creates partnerships in the Northeast to implement solutions to climate change and build constituencies for effective climate policies and actions. CA-CP is the region's leading organization dedicated to finding and promoting solutions to global warming. Through partnerships with campuses, communities and businesses, CA-CP coordinates outreach efforts on climate change education, showcases effective solutions, and promotes the reduction of carbon emissions.

Mohegan Tribe
The Mohegan Tribe is a sovereign, federally recognized Indian Nation with a reservation on the Thames River near Uncasville, Connecticut. The Tribe operates a Mohegan Energy, Environment, Economics, Education Center which provides information regarding pollution prevention, and various types of sustainable initiatives including fuel cells with heat recovery, photovoltaics, alternative fuel use vehicles, ground source heat pumps, room occupancy-driven hotel HVAC, and waste materials recycling and recovery.

Institute For Sustainable Energy
The Institute for Sustainable Energy at Eastern Connecticut State University was established in 2001 to identify, develop, and implement the means for achieving a sustainable energy future. Our core activities include offering educational outreach in both K-12, community and professional development; providing a clearing house and resource for energy sustainability information; assisting in the development of public policy concerning energy; and developing effective energy solutions. The Institute is actively involved in assisting Eastern Connecticut State University in becoming a green campus, and promoting community sustainability plans through providing technical support, guidance, and EnergyStar benchmarking.
Funding for the Institute for Sustainable Energy
The Institute for Sustainable Energy is funded and supported by the Connecticut Energy Conservation and Load Management Fund through the Energy Conservation Management Board and the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. The Institute also receives funding for specific projects from the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency.
