The Low - Income Energy Advisory Board Shall advise and assisst the Office of Policy and Management and the Department of Social Services in the planning, development, implementation and coordination of energy assisstance related programs and policies and low - income weatherization assisstance programs and policies, shall advise the Department of Public Utility Control reguarding the impact of utility rates and policies, and shall make recommendations to the General Assembly reguarding legislation and plans subject to legislative approval to ensure affordable access to residential energy services to low - income state residents.

2006 Connecticut Energy Code Seminars

There have been substantial changes to the energy related provisions of the Connecticut building Code for new
buildings and the upgrade and renovation of existing buildings. These seminars provide a review and resource materials related to the 2004 adoption of the 2003 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and ASHRSA 90.1. Training will provide design and construction requirements for both residential and commercial buildings.
Information will include: Administrative and Enforcement aspects of the code, as well as the Materials, Systems and Equipment requirements. The session will focus on Chapters 7 and 8 of the IECC including references to ASHRAE 9.1-201. Energy Code Seminars Details
Advanced Lighting II Seminar 2006

The theme of the 2006 conference is “Strategies for institutionalizing sustainability in higher education.”
In keeping with Yale’s focus on global outreach, the 2006 conference will engage practitioners and experts from institutions of higher learning both from within and outside of the region to foster broader opportunities for exchange. After the two-day NECSC conference, attendees are invited to join us for a third day for an international round-table symposium on Saturday morning, November 4th entitled “The role of international alliances to advance sustainability objectives on university campuses”
