PRESIDENT Grace Enggas |
Grace Enggas currently serves as the President of the Eastern Chapter of Local 2836. She is also the Secretary of the Local 2836 that serves all four campuses. Grace has been actively involved with the union since 1977. As President, Grace negotiates with management any changes in job descriptions, work schedules and upgrades of positions. She handles grievances of all Eastern members and trains new Stewards to assist in the process. She serves on the local contract negotiation board. Grace has been at Eastern Connecticut State University since 1977 and currently serves as Coordinator of Financial Aid. She has a bachelor of arts from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT) and a master of arts from The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH). VICE-PRESIDENT Edith Mavor |
Edith Mavor currently serves as the Vice-President of the Eastern Chapter of Local 2836. Edith has been actively involved the union since 1981. As Vice-President, Edith assists the President with all union related matters. She is a Steward and works with grievances of the membership. Edith has been at Eastern Connecticut State University since 1978 and currently serves as Registration Specialist. She has a bachelor of arts from Brooklyn College (Brooklyn, NY) and a master of social work from Yeshiva University (New York, NY). TREASURER Geeta Pfau |
Geeta Pfau currently serves as the Treasurer of the Eastern Chapter of Local 2836. Geeta has been actively involved in the union since 2004. As Treasurer, Geeta prepares and executes all financial transactions on behalf of the Chapter. Geeta has been at Eastern Connecticut State University since 1992 and currently serves as Assistant Director of Health Services. She has a bachelor of arts from Tribhuban University (Kathmandu, Nepal), a master of arts and a PhD from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT). SECRETARY John Bazin |
John Bazin currently serves as the Secretary of the Eastern Chapter, Local 2836. John has been actively involved with the union since 2007. As Secretary, John takes minutes at all of the Eastern Chapter meetings and makes them available for membership. He also created and maintains the website of the Eastern Chapter. John has been at Eastern Connecticut State University since 2000 and currently serves as Assistant to the Director of the Student Center/Activities and Student Organization Assistant. He has a bachelor of arts from Assumption College (Worcester, MA) and a master of education from Springfield College (Springfield, MA).
