Office of Student Activities
Graduate Internship Opportunities
The Office of Student Activities is committed to providing a comprehensive professional program for students interested in entering the field of student affairs in higher education. The main focus of the two-year internship is to train and develop young professionals who will positively contribute to the Eastern community, the students they work with, and the profession as a whole. The Office of Student Activities employes three graduate interns, two in Operations/Programming and one in Orientation/Leadership.
The internship is a cooperative experience between professional staff and interns that serves as a stepping stone towards a professional position in the field of student affairs. The program is supervised by the Director of Student Activities, and focuses specifically on areas such as new student orientation, family programs, leadership programs, campus activities, student organizations, and student center operations. Regardless of the specific intern position held, interns will gain experience and exposure in all areas.
