General Databases (which include information on modern languages)
AcademicSearch Premier (EbscoHost) An interdisciplinary database which covers diverse areas of study, including education, computer sciences, engineering, physics and math, and includes full-text articles to over 4,595 periodicals.
Academic Universe (Lexis Nexis) Full-text of news articles since 1970. Provides full text access to many French language newspapers and publications, including Le Monde
ArticleFirst Indexes article citations in various areas including business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, science, social sciences and technology.  Majority of sources are in English, but coverage is international.
Electronic Collections Online A multi-disciplinary collection of articles from scholarly journals including anthropology, business, history, literature, science and technology.
Ethnic News Watch

A full-text general reference database of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press providing in-depth coverage of a wide range of current and historical
topics.


FirstSearch Databases Provides access to a variety of research and reference databases.
InfoTrac One File A general resource for articles from major magazines, newspapers, business and technology publications, and academic journals covering a broad range of topics.
Ingenta A table of contents and article delivery service covering more than 13,000,000 articles from over 27,000 periodicals. 
LexisNexis Academic

A collection of databases including Statistical Universe and African American Studies History Universe covering a wide range of news, business, legal research, medical, statistical, historical and reference information.


JSTOR

A full-text archive of over 125 scholarly journals in the humanitites,social sciences, and sciences covering all issues published, except for the last 2 to 5 years.


SOC Index with full-text

Provides full-text coverage for 253 core journals, some dating back to 1895, and also to 72 priority coverage journals.  Includes full-text for 547 books and monographs and full-text for 6,711 conference papers.  The index features over 1,600,000 records.


Subject Specific Databases (which cross-over into language topics)
Modern Language Association (MLA) International Bibliography An index to critical scholarship on Folklore, Drama, History of Printing and Publishing, Modern Languages, Linguistics, and Literature.  Includes journal articles, series, monographs, dissertations, bibliographies, proceedings and other materials.
America: History and Life
Abstracts, journal articles, indexes book/media reviews, and dissertations covering U.S. and Canadian history and allied fields including popular culture, anthropology, literature and folklore.
Arts & Humanities Search (AH Search)
Access to bibliographic information and citation references from leading arts and humanities journals.  Indexes articles, bibliographies, editorials, letters, and more.
Canadian Encyclopedia Online An encyclopedia of Canadian history, people and current events.
Gale Literary Databases The collection of three literature databases: Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism, and Dictionary of Literary Biography.
Historical Abstracts Historical Abstracts is your complete reference guide to the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America: History and Life).
History Reference Center A full text world history reference database featuring full text for more than 1,500 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books.  The database also includes full text for more than 100 history periodicals dealing with subjects from across the world.  
Magill on Literature A collection of editorially reviewed critical analyses and brief plot summaries of the most studied works in the history of literature; also includes biographies of authors.
