CONSULS - This is where you can find books, print journals (magazines), & media (videos, DVDs, music CDs, etc) in the library's collection by using the online catalog called CONSULS. When you search CONSULS, you are actually searching the collections of Eastern (E), as well as Western CT State University (W), Central CT State University (C), Southern CT State University (S), and the CT State Library (SL). You can limit your searches to just Eastern. Or - you can request materials from the other libraries, which arrive in about 3-5 days. Ask at the reference desk for more help in searching or requesting materials.
You can search by keyword (try "math" or "mathematics", or a specialty area like "geometry"), or by subject. Subjects are pre-determined vocabulary used to search the catalog.

How to Find Media (videos, DVDs, CDs, etc.)
Looking for a particular video or DVD? Start a keyword search for your subject in CONSULs - use the "Advanced" search tab. Put in your keyword(s), then limit to a "Material Type" of sound recording, video, etc. for the format you're seeking. You can also limit your search to just items at ECSU from the "Location" menu on the advanced keyword search screen. You can always ask for help at the Reference Desk too.
