What To Do If You Are Having Problems Getting Into A Database

The most common causes of not being able to get into a database are web browser security and privacy settings that are too restrictive. Changing them to a lower level will solve many problems. The procedure for doing this in Internet Explorer is given below. Other browsers have similar steps to change these settings.

1. Go to "Tools > Internet Options> Privacy" and set the slider to "Low" or "Accept all cookies"
2. Go to "Tools > Internet Options> Security > Custom level" and select "Medium low" or "low"

If you are still having problems, please write down of any error messages and contact Bruce Johnston (johnstonB@easternct.edu; 465-5552)
