CONSULS - The Library's online catalog

- This is where you can find books, journals (magazines) titles, & media (videos, DVDs, music CDs, etc.) in the library's collection.

- When you search the CONSULS database, you are searching the collections of Eastern (E), as well as Central CT State University (C), Southern CT State University (S), Western CT State University (W), and The Connecticut State Library (SL).

- You can limit your search to just Eastern to find materials here. Or you can request materials from the other libraries, which arrive in 3-5 days. Ask at the Reference Desk for more help in searching or requesting materials.

- You can search by keyword (try "social work" or "social services"), or by subject. Subjects are pre-determined vocabulary used to search the catalog. Below are some sample Subject searches:

- Looking to view a documentary or other social science video? Start with the Advanced Search for your keyword(s) in CONSULS; Use the scroll bar to choose Material Type, choose Language, and click the Submit button

-You can limit your search to items at ECSU from the "Location" drop-down menu, too. If you can not locate any, please ask for help at the Reference Desk.
