Connecticut Town Profiles Located on the Department of Economic and Community Development website, this website is a “compilation of current statistics compilation of current statistics describing the State of Connecticut's 169 towns. The most recent town-level statistics available are presented by the subject areas of demographics, economics, education, housing, labor force, government, and quality of life.
Connecticut State Register and Manual In publication since 1785, the Connecticut Register & Manual widely known as the Blue Book is a valuable reference resource for those seeking information on the State of Connecticut and its government.
Connecticut Municipalities Websites ‘are available for many of the towns and cities in Connecticut, and contain links to a variety of local government information resources.’

Consumer Reports ConsumerReports.org® is published by Consumers Union; their ‘mission is to work for a fair, just, and safe marketplace for all consumers and to empower consumers to protect themselves.’
First Government for Consumers “is a "one-stop" link to a broad range of federal information resources available online. It is designed so that you can locate information by category -- such as Food, Health, Product Safety, Your Money, and Transportation. Healthnet - Connecticut Consumer Health Information Network was initiated by the library of the University of Connecticut Health Center in January 1985. The purpose of Healthnet is to help make consumer health information available to Connecticut's residents through their local public libraries.

CT Academic Performance Test Results This Connecticut Department of Education website provides statewide results for the 2001- 2005 administration of the Connecticut Academic Performance Test.
Early Childhood Special Education Profiles, 2003 Arranged by school district, this site provides statistical information about special education programs and related services provided to eligible 3, 4 and 5-year-old children in Connecticut schools.
Higher Education Statistics This links to the Board of Higher Education, and provides statistics for CT Collegiate Enrollments, Degree Completion, FTE Enrollment Data, etc.
School District Demographics System The School District Demographics website provides access to school district geographic and demographic data useful for describing and analyzing characteristics of school districts, children, and K-12 education.

Encyclopedia Britannica The Encyclopedia Britannica is the oldest (first published in 1768) and largest general reference work in English. EB Online includes the complete Encyclopedia, along with the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary and the Britannica Book of the Year. EB Online also lets you search an Internet directory of Web links selected by Encyclopedia editors. (ECSU community only)

Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary This is an online version of the Merriam-Webster's college dictionary; it includes definitions and audio files of word pronunciations.
Oxford English Dictionary The online version of the Oxford English Dictionary “contains the complete text of the 20 volume second edition published in 1989, with 3 volume additions vols. 1-2 (1993) and vol.3 (1997)." (Taken from the website)

iCONN Newsstand A collection of 6 major newspaper titles including the New York Times (Book Review and Magazine too), the L.A. Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Christian Science Monitor, and the Hartford Courant. Dates of coverage vary by newspaper title, but most offer full text coverage from mid-90s till present.
Newseum This website provides daily access to 473 front pages from 44 countries presented alphabetically.

Center for Immigration Studies ‘The Center for Immigration Studies is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit research organization. United States historical census data browser (http://fisher.lib.virginia.edu/census/) The Geospatial and Statistical Data Center located on the University of Virginia’s is home of this outstanding searchable browser for historical data from U.S. decennial censuses, 1790 to 1970. The data and terminology presented in the Historical Census Browser are drawn directly from historical volumes of the U.S. Census of Population and housing. The data is presented at the state and county levels, and varies by year and state.
