Database Search Tip Use the "People" search to locate  individuals by occupation, gender, where they were born, or specific historical events in which they were involved.  For example, its a great way to find information about female abolitionists, anti-war activists, or U.S. House Representatives from Connecticut.
Notes Primary documents are original sources of information, such as diary entries, letters, speeches, eyewitness accounts and other legal documents.  Some examples included in this databases are the Declaration of Independence, Anita Hill's statement on Clarence Thomas, the text of Brown v. the Board of Education before the Supreme Court, and FDR's speech before Congress about the Pearl Harbor attack.
