Students from 165 of Connecticut's 169 towns attend Eastern.
Applications for admission for the fall 2009 semester increased 12% over fall 2008.
1635 new students were enrolled in fall 2009.
Male: 45% ; Female: 55% (fall 2007)
Students from 24 states, including California, Alaska, Georgia, Washington, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Hawaii, Texas, Florida and all six New England states.
International students are attending from more than 48 countries, including Sweden, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Taiwan, Jamaica, and Botswana.
The class of 2011 is Eastern’s largest ever, with 4,326 full-time undergraduates and more than 5,610 total students.
More than 60 percent of full-time undergraduates live on campus — a community of more than 2,670!
