Confused about PINS & Passwords?
PINS are used for E-Web Online Services access.
Passwords are use for your University computer, email and BlackBoard Vista
access. The same username and password lets you access your email, BlackBoard Vista and University-owned computers.
Password Rules
Eastern passwords must comply with a set of Password Rules. The rules have been created to help secure your account from hackers. Please be sure that your password is correctly formatted to comply with those rules. Failure to do so will cause your password change to fail. Help with passwords is available on the Password FAQ website.
What do I put in the "Account" box?
In the "Account" box in the Internet Service Manager password change dialog box, be sure you type the following: ec-resnet\yourusername
Substitute yourusername in the above example with your actual username. Be absolutely sure you use the \ character and NOT the / character as the separator. Use of the incorrect slash will result in a failed password change attempt. Visit the Password FAQ website for more information.
