1. Draft a set of interview questions and answers you would use to interview external applicants for a position responsible for conducting job analyses and writing job descriptions and job specifications based on the job analyses. In the questions and answers, demonstrate that you know how to write good interview questions, that you know how to evaluate answers to questions, and that you know what is necessary to conduct a good job analysis. (20 points)
2. Write a case study or an integrated case scenario that could be used to teach supervisors how to appraise the performance of their subordinates. Demonstrate that you know both how to train using cases and that you know how to appraise performance. (20 points)
Short answer
questions (maximum 500 words each)
a. Several of the on-line quizzes you have taken provide answers which are arguably incorrect. Identify one such question (chapter #, question #), give the answer you believe to be correct, explain why you believe it is better than the answer indicated by the “Results Reporter, and indicate which principles of good test-development are violated in the question.” (4 points)
b. In your own words, summarize one of the In-the-News articles you read for Chapter 3, 4, or 5. (4 points)
c. Draw a diagram of the analysis we did in class of the different courses of action to take (training, discipline, reassignment, etc.) when an employee “Isn’t” doing what the employer wants. (4 points)
d. Provide the answers to the questions for one of the Internet exercises for chapter 7 or 8. (8 points)
