The Assignment:
Write an essay in which you describe and have a specific thesis about some experience or activity that you associate with your family. You probably will  want to use specific details to describe both the activity itself and the "character" of family members you choose to write about.  Can you "show" (rather than just "tell") details in your essay to illustrate to your reader the point you wish to make?

Your draft should be 900-1500 words (3-5 pages) long, typed format, and double-spaced. Please don't  forget to bring extra copies of your draft when it is due.
