Lifelogues - From Page to Stage
Nora Cole, professional actress/playwright, joined the faculty as an adjunct this fall teaching a Special Topics course entitled "The Monologue" in which she taught students to write their own monologues based on their lives. The final Fall 2000 Harry Hope production, appropriately coined Lifelogues, is directed by Nora Cole and features actors from her "Monologue" class performing their original works. Audiences will remember Nora Cole's Olivia's Opus which was presented at the Harry Hope in 1999 and 2000 following its successful production at the Hartford Stage. Lifelogues promises to be the creative beginning of longer works to come as it mirrors the process of creating Olivia's Opus which took shape over many years of journal writing culminating in variations of shorter and longer monologues.
