Congratulations! You and your first-year student are now part of the Eastern community. As Connecticut's Public Liberal Arts University, Eastern is proud to provide an environment rich in academic excellence and co-curricular opportunity. In preparation for the new academic year, we invite you to join us for our Parent Orientation Program.
As a parent or guardian of an incoming first-time, first-year
student, you are invited to participate in the summer Parent Orientation program
on the first day of your student's attendance to the SOAR program in the summer
before their first semester. There is no program for incoming transfer students'
parents at this time.
Parent Orientation is an opportunity for parents of new incoming first-time, first-year students to learn more about resources and services at Eastern. As a parent, your support will greatly assist your student in making the transition to the Eastern campus and college life. Through this orientation program, parents will have the opportunity to meet staff and student leaders, ask questions and learn more about campus life, and learn tips that may help you coach your student towards academic success at Eastern.
Parents are not required to attend, but are strongly encouraged to consider taking part in the parent orientation program.
